Vader Vader is a trailblazing Polish death metal force, forging blistering heavy music from Olsztyn since 1983. Over four decades into their career, they remain one of Poland’s most enduring extreme metal acts, known for a relentless blend of death and thrash metal that has influenced generations of musicians worldwide.
Led by founder Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek — the band’s guitarist, vocalist, and principal creative force — Vader quickly evolved from traditional heavy metal to a ferocious, high-velocity death metal sound. Their breakthrough came with 1992’s The Ultimate Incantation, and since then they have built an acclaimed catalog marked by precision, brutality, and unyielding energy.
Today’s lineup also features guitarist Marek “Spider” Pająk, bassist Tomasz “Hal” Halicki, and drummer Michał Andrzejczyk, with the recent return of longtime guitarist Maurycy “Mauser” Stefanowicz adding even more firepower.
In 2025 Vader released the scorching EP Humanihility via Nuclear Blast, celebrating their legacy while pointing toward future milestones — including anniversary reissues and a new full-length album slated for 2027. They’ve just wrapped a powerful European summer and are heading into North America with “The Carnival of Death Tour,” proving that their brutal influence is as vital as ever.
