Bio:
Rectal Smegma was initially formed in 2003 by four guys from the west of The Netherlands, who set out to create brutal gore grind with lots of groove, blastbeats and a humoristic party vibe all over. The band has undergone some member changes for guitar and bass throughout their existence but has started 2015 with their latest and strongest line-up, and also drunker than ever. The music has undergone some changes in the meantime as well, evolving from Neanderthal porn gore grind to fast aggressive blasting goregrind with loads of groovy death metal and even some hints of punk. There are now four full length records released plus three split albums.
The band has been out on the road to South Europe with Rompeprop and once through central Europe with Cliteater and Rompeprop on the Goregrind over Europe tour. By now Rectal Smegma is a solid live band with shows where anything can happen. In 2011 they went on their first headlining tour with the Swedes from Splattered Mermaids and again they left a trail of destruction and empty beer and booze bottles behind. Another successful performance at Obscene Extreme was done, and also an appearance at the last edition of Mountains of Death. 2012 saw the band appear at all three Extreme Fests in Austria, Switzerland and Germany, plus a performance at Party San Open Air. The band made their first overseas trip with a two week trek in Mexico as well, entitled the Mexican Brutality Tour with as highlight a headlining slot at the Mexican Brutality Fest. In 2013 Rectal Smegma took the stage at more prestigious fests like Neurotic Death Fest, Incubate and Death Feast, plus enjoyed a trip to Moscow and a three day tour in the UK along Prostitute Disfigurement. 2014 saw them hit the newly erected festival Grind The Mine in Essen, their third appearance at Obscene Extreme and a slot at Swiss’ Carnage Feast. 2015 had a lot of big things in store for the drunkards from the lowlands ast they got to play prestigious fests like Brutal Assault, Gorecity 2, Ranger Rock, Metal Frenzy Open Air, In Flammen Open Air and Summer Breeze to name a few. Highlight of the year was probably the amazing Rectal Sake Massacre Tour in Japan, with as cherry on the cake two performances at Obscene Extreme Asia in Tokyo.
In the meantime the writing for the fifth full length album entitled GNORK, which will be recorded in early January 2016 and will be released by Rotten Roll Rex shortly after, is almost completed. The live gigs for 2016 are already shaping up nicely with a number of festivals already confirmed and announced, like Grindhoven V, Kaltenbach Open Air, Rock Unter Den Eichen and Party San Open Air, and have another batch in the works ready to be announced soon.
Anyone who has ever seen Rectal Smegma live or met one of the guys knows they’re dealing with insane alcoholics with a lust for extreme depravity. Their rampage still continues, so hide your women and alcohol supply when they come to your town because Rectal Smegma is sure to abuse all of them...
