PUPPETZ
Bio:
Members of the group Puppetz come from Krško and Novo mesto. Guys met in an unusual way and that is through chat programmes on the internet. Even after a few words they realised that they share the same taste for music. The desire for music and bonding brought them together even though they come from different cities.
Band members are: the guitarist Nejc, "screamer" Puhi (Bojan), drummer Blaž and bass player Jani. This year they started thinking about stretching their spectre of music so they invited the second guitarist Miha to join them.
Ever since their childhood they were involved in music – one way or another. Guys were always following different trends and styles of music. We can also detect these colourful styles in their own music, because no musician can completely avoid them.
The band and music in general is a very important element in all of their lives and it is certainly more than just a hobby. The music they make is a product of the whole band and their mutual feelings and observations of the world and it does not represent just one individual. Their desire is to create something new, to make an energetic and melodic contribution to the music industry.
We could place their music under the label of "nu-metal with a touch of melodic vocal and electric beats". A couple of lyrics are written in English, but the rest are all in Slovene. And even though the origin of their name remains unknown, guys admit that they sometimes feel like puppetz on a string - and those strings are being pulled by the hands of music.
The most important thing for them is representation to people and of course a positive reaction. Concerts mean the most for the guys because there they can make a genuine connection with the crowd. They also prepare for them down to the last detail so that every thing goes smoothly and with a minimum of mistakes. But their biggest desire is without a doubt success.
They are aware of the fact that they live in a place where changes are not realised as quickly as some would like - especially in the music department. And especially as their music can not be labelled as "commercial" one. That is why success and signing with a publisher seems even more difficult. Their wish is also a breakthrough in some other countries, but their primary wish is to concur the Slovenian music market.
