Bio:
Morost Formed in Ljubljana in 2010, Morost are one of Slovenia’s most distinctive forces in progressive extreme metal. Blending progressive death metal with blackened, atmospheric and groove-oriented elements, the band creates complex, unpredictable compositions that move freely between crushing brutality, haunting melodies and hypnotic passages.
Morost first gained wider attention with their debut album Solace in Solitude (2014), followed by the critically acclaimed Forged Entropy (2021), a dense and ambitious work that further established their uncompromising musical identity. In 2024, the band released Devour Thine Light, a remarkable 23-minute composition featuring guest saxophonist Andrej Vernik, recorded at Studio Ork and mastered at Helsinki’s legendary Finnvox Studios.
